Why do your dietary beliefs (that plants don’t have protein, carbs make you diabetic and obese, bananas make you fat, carbs are unhealthy, we need animal proteins, we need more fats, plants don’t have fats, we need a calorie deficit to lose weight and many like these non-sense) keep you sick and overweight

My Blood Test Results after over 10 years of eating bananas and potatoes (and other High-carb Low-Fat plant-based vegan foods

Four years ago, I lost a significant amount of weight through a high-carbohydrate, low-fat WHOLE-food vegan diet without strenuous exercise or calorie reduction. This is the first time in my life that I have maintained my results.

How I Became Vegan, Ex-Vegan, Vegan, Ex-Vegan, and Vegan Again
In the video, I share my journey through fluctuating diets, veganism, and personal insights into nutrition. My vegan story began in 2011 when I first adopted a plant-based diet and a lifestyle that put less harm on the animals. However, I constantly found myself going back to animal products due to cravings driven by a restrictive mindset. Over the years, my dietary experiments, including raw veganism and always present calorie deficit, were frequently frustrated by cravings for denser caloric foods.

After becoming pregnant in the same year, I deepened my understanding of nutrition, which reinforced my commitment to a vegan diet. This resolve was tested through the challenges of postpartum weight and breastfeeding. Pursuing again eating in deficit led me to more cravings and become an ex-vegan. I later discovered the approach of Banana Girl, advocating for a high-carb, low-fat diet without caloric restriction, which eventually resonated with me after initial skepticism.

This journey highlights the intricate connection between dietary choices, physical health, and mental well-being, emphasizing the importance of informed eating habits and the impact of nutritional education. Through my YouTube channel, Lean on Cars.com, and my business offering coaching programs, I aim to support others in adopting a sustainable, healthy High-Carb Vegan diet that fosters longevity and vitality without the constraints of traditional dieting.

A high-carb, low-fat, whole foods plant-based vegan diet with enough calorie intake – at least 2500 calories for women and at least 3000 calories for men – is one of the most sustainable ways to go and stay vegan. This diet not only allowed me to eat abundantly without feeling deprived but also helped me stay lean and healthy without the use of appetite suppressants like coffee or engaging in excessive exercise. I focus on eating foods like bananas, potatoes, and rice, which provide satisfying bulk without excessive calories, aligning with our body’s natural preference for carbohydrates for energy.

This lifestyle change has not only improved my health and helped me manage my weight effectively, but it has also increased my longevity. I now dedicate myself to helping others adopt this healthy, sustainable diet to achieve their best, most vibrant selves without cravings or the yo-yo dieting cycle. I create content to support and guide others in making this lifestyle change, emphasizing the benefits of a diet rich in natural, low-calorie-density foods.
