I CHANGED MY DIET: NOW I EAT A HIGH-RAW VEGAN DIET (FOR PROTEIN) – 2023

Wondering if a #rawvegan, #highrawvegan, or cooked #vegandiet can provide enough protein? Absolutely! Plants are protein-rich. By consuming a diverse range of nutrient-packed plant foods and by meeting your calorie needs, you’ll meet the current RDA for protein. So why I have decided to tweak my macros to eat a moderate amount of protein of 15-20%? The prevailing notion has been that we need only about 10% or less protein from total calories for optimal health. Are the high-carb, low-fat, low-protein advocates mistaken? It’s not that simple.
Now as a high-raw-vegan, I have tweaked my macros for body recomposition purposes (google it!). I am now eating a high-carb, low-to moderate fat, and moderate-protein content high-raw vegan diet, again for body recomposition purposes as a petite WOMAN and I am incorporating resistance and weight for that purpose as well.

In these series, I’ll delve into my reasoning behind this change. I’m even documenting my insights in a newsletter. This decision was thoroughly contemplated and holds personal significance. Remember,PLANTS have PROTEIN, (amino acids) and building muscle can be done on a VEGAN, RAW VEGAN or HIGH RAW VEGAN diet but the macro distribution would be determinant on the type of physique you want to attain. Please listen carefully.

✪ WHO IS DR. ARELI?
I am a Physician, a Pathologist, and Neuropathologist, and I am certified by the University of Winchester in Plant-Based Nutrition. I have a full-time job as pathologist and during my free time I like to post educational content on social media to raise awareness about the benefits of a plant-based diet with an emphasis on raw foods. Since Feb 2023, I have been eating now a high-raw diet. Over 80% (close to 90%) of my diet is in the form of fruit, veggies, nuts, seeds, and sprouts. The rest is cooked legumes and pulses. I also include tempe and organic non-GMO tofu and organic raw protein powder for my workouts.
