Denise Minger, a low carb/paleo advocate, recently gave a presentation at the Ancestry Foundation on the arguments and benefits of a plant based vegan diet. Bananiac discusses his thoughts on the segment of Denise talking about Dr. Walter Kempner’s work with the rice diet on diabetes. Dr. Kempner’s patients lost weight and recovered optimal levels of insulin by eating UNLIMITED amounts of carbohydrates such as rice, fruit, fruit juice, and REFINED sugar.
