FREE EBOOKLET Should you take it step by step when you’re transitioning to a raw vegan diet or is it better to go raw overnight?
Any step in the direction of health will result in better health. The faster you move in that direction, the faster you will arrive at a healthier point. In the case of moving towards a whole food, plant based diet or even all the way to a fruit based raw vegan diet, there is no immediate danger in moving “too fast”.
You may certainly experience certain withdrawal symptoms and detox reactions but just ride them out. Let your body do the work.
Some people propose doing a slow transition period where you slowly incorporate more raw foods into your diet and gradually wean off the addictive and unhealthy foods. I recommend going as fast as you can. Don’t worry if all you can handle is one step at the time, but there is no need to consciously CHOOSE to take it slow. A faster transition means a more rapid return to health, which is the objective.
