🥣 Ingredients:
240g | 8.5oz | 1 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas (1 can)
1lb | 500g | 1 cabbage
1 onion
1 carrot
1/2tsp cumin seeds
1/2tbsp garlic powder
1/2tbsp paprika
salt to taste
🥣 Batter ingredients:
4oz | 120g | 1 cup brown rice or plain all purpose flour
1tbsp psyllium husk (use chia seeds or flax seeds as an alternative)
1tsp baking powder
salt to taste
8oz | 240ml | 1 cup plant-based milk
4oz | 125ml | 1/2 cup dairy-free sour cream

🧑‍🍳Cooking tips:
❗Feel free to add your favourite herbs and spices to the recipe to get your favourite flavour.
❗You can substitute brown rice for plain all purpose flour.
❗You can substitute psyllium husk for chia seeds or flax seeds.
❗You can substitute dairy-free sour cream for dairy-free plain yogurt. Use regular sour cream or yogurt is you are not a vegan.

🥣 Method:
Shred 1lb | 500g | 1 cabbage.
Slice 1 onion and cook on medium heat for about 3 minutes.
Peel and grate 1 carrot and add to the pan.
Add shredded cabbage and 240g | 8.5oz | 1 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas (1 can).
Season with 1/2tsp cumin seeds, 1/2tbsp garlic powder, 1/2tbsp paprika and salt to taste.
Cook for about 7 minutes
In a mixing bowl combine 4oz | 120g | 1 cup brown rice (or plain all purpose flour), 1tbsp psyllium husk, 1tsp baking powder and pinch of salt.
Add 8oz | 240ml | 1 cup plant-based milk and 4oz | 125ml | 1/2 cup dairy free sour cream.
ℹ️ You can substitute psyllium husk for chia seeds or flax seeds.
ℹ️ You can substitute dairy free sour cream for plain yogurt.
Set aside.
Add some chopped parsley to the cooked vegetables and mix well.
Add cooked vegetable into the batter and mix well.
Cook the mixture in a lightly oiled nonstick span over medium heat for 7-10 minutes until golden brown.
Flip to other side and cook until golden brown.
Cut into wedges, serve with salsa, dairy-free yogurt or the dip sauce you enjoy the most!
