Plant Power: Is It Time To Make Universities Go Vegan? | Good Morning Britain

More than 650 academics have called on British Universities to commit to 100% plant-based catering. In the open letter – organised by the Plant-Based Universities Campaign -they likened the move to meat-free food to fossil fuel divestment. Signatures on the open letter have come from leading campaigners and presenters such as Chris Packham and Green Party MP Caroline Lucas. However, The National Farmers’ Union said Uni’s can play their part in the climate challenge, but banning all beef and lamb, is a far too simplistic approach. So, is it time to make Universities go vegan or should students still have a choice?
