Best Vegan Sweaters + Jumpers! | Vegan Knitwear

Today we’re talking about the best vegan sweaters and where to find them!

OPEN ME!
_____

I love how the Brits call sweaters “jumpers.” (If you’re an American reading this, pronounce it: jumpas.)

It’s so sprightly and cheery.

Whenever I hear this word (i.e. often, my best friend is English,) I always picture someone gayly jumping into an argyle sweater. Ha!

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, there’s a high probability that you’re reaching for warmer threads these days as autumn slowly unfolds. If you’re in the market for a few cozy pieces this season, I hope today’s post will provide you with some mindful leads, as well as some food for thought.

Why Animal “Fabrics” are Baaad

Here on Veggie Magnifique, I tend to stick to the more joyous side of a healthy vegan lifestyle – the endless energy, the colorful vitality, and how good it feels to choose a kind way of eating and living. That being said, I’d be remiss if I didn’t at least provide some links to send those willing to investigate down the sinister rabbit hole that is: using/exploiting animals and their fur/wool/feathers.

It’s not as difficult as you may think. As I explain in the video, there are many ways to find more sustainable sweaters – from thrift shops to eco brands, and everything in between. With every dollar we spend, we vote on the kind of world we want to live in. When we realize that we have a choice in what we buy, it’s incredibly empowering.

So let’s get into today’s video where I share some vegan sweaters you’ll love to jump into, how to shop more responsibly, and some tips for staying warm to boot.

Have a bunch of wool sweaters? You don’t have to feel sheepish! (Especially if you weren’t privy to the truth of these industries before…) The key is just to make different/better choices going forward. As always, it’s about progress *not* perfection.

If you enjoy learning more about eco and vegan fashion, be sure to let me know. I’m always eager for your feedback, dear readers!
