The Rise and Fall of Kat Von D & KVD Vegan Beauty

Kat Von D was once the brand that inspired the beginning of Kendo, which would soon go on to build brands like Marc Jacobs Cosmetics and Fenty Beauty. However, after their brand saw a natural decline after 11 years, a decline partially spurred on by controversy and partially by lack of new and exciting products, Katherine von Drachenberg sold her shares, leaving the company to rebrand, which unfortunately just hasn’t been going as swimmingly as they may have liked. There’s still huge potential there and with the new focus to a younger audience, perhaps all it needs is time, but personally I think they will soon attempt to boost the profile in a classic LVMH-esque way
