Counting macronutrients has become exceedingly popular…but it shouldn’t be. Macronutrients see foods as protein, fats, or carbs. WE see foods as whole foods categorized by their whole nature such as starch, fruit, and legumes. This macronutrient way of thinking causes people to demonize carbs as the main cause for weight gain and protein as the weight loss hero, which is not the correct way to look at the problem.
