What I Eat In a Day on a Plant-based Diet with Dr. Garth Davis | Mastering Diabetes

What do plant-based or vegan doctors eat in a day? Well, here’s one. As someone who wrote a book about how our obsession with meat protein is killing us, you would think Dr. Garth Davis would mention a lot of black beans, kale, and tufo.

But who’s counting their protein intake on a whole food, plant-based diet? Beans (including soybeans, tofu, and tempeh), legumes, and nuts and seeds have high concentrations of protein. But grains and veggies are big sources of protein as well, suggesting that as long as your diet has a wide variety of whole foods, you don’t need extra effort to ensure that you’re getting enough of it. And we have had too many nutrition experts on the show backing this up.
